Conversation 1

Tony : Tsuyu ake wa itsu desu yo. When the rainy season ends?

Kobayashi : Toshi (yoru)yotte hayakattari osokattari shimasu ga, Tōkyō de wa, daitai 7 gatsu no nakaba goro made tsuzukimasu. Every year is different as it may end earlier or later but in Tokyo, it ends around middle of July.

Meaning : Ame (Rain), Yamu (Stop), Iya (Not Good), Tsuyu (Rainy Season), Tsuzuku (Continue), Ake (End), Toshi, Yoru (Depends / Base On), Daitai (Around), Nakaba (Middle of)

Conversation 2
Tony : Kono sushi ya wa, itsumo konde iru ne. This Sushi restaurant always full.

Kobayashi : Sō desu ne. Koko wa eki kara chikaishi, nedan mo amari takakunaishi, hairi yasui desu kara ne. Ya. This place is near the station as well as the price is not too expensive. It’s easy to find the way.

Tony : Watashi mo kaisha no kaeri ni tokidoki yorun da ga, itsu demo hito ga (narabu)narande matte iru yo. Dō dai. Chotto ippai nonde ikanai ka. Me too. I sometimes pass by this place but there are always people queuing up. So, how. Shall we go for a drink.
